Born on April 15, 1981, and raised in the heart of Antwerp, Tanguy developed a love for his city early on, thanks to the captivating stories shared by his beloved grandmother (1919-2018). Her tales about the metropolis and its delightful anecdotes inspired him to explore and share Antwerp’s rich history.

In 2007, Tanguy founded his company, BeroepsAntwerpenaar, and published his debut book the same year. His exceptional guiding skills caught the attention of the New York Times in 2011, which praised him for his expertise in the fashion scene.

By 2013, he was recognized by CNN as one of the "7 Savviest Guides in the World."  In 2015, he expanded his company to several cities beyond Antwerp, including Ghent, Bruges, Brussels, Leuven, Mechelen, and Knokke-Heist. This growth transformed BeroepsBelg into a company known today for its high-quality private guides in Belgium.
